My Second Bucket-List Trip With Holland Bike Tours

(first part Lake Yssel loop)
After a two-week “bucket list” trip with Holland Bike Tours in 2022, my older brother and I were so pleased we booked another two-week custom tour in June 2023. This year’s trip went from Haarlem to Enkhuisen, ferry to Stavoren, then down the east coast of the Zuiderzee and south to Bruges. As with last year’s trip, friendly route planning discussions with Meike led to a custom route that was exactly right for us. Too many highlights to list. Great bikes. Great city-center hotels. Great briefing books and GPS route guidance. Great finish to the trip in Bruges which was one of our many trip highlights. What was different this time is that we had two hiccups along the way. Firstly, my bike fell over at a rest stop and broke the GPS. Holland Bike Tours was super responsive and had a new one at our hotel by 10:00am the next morning so we could continue with our tour. Secondly there was some confusion about a hotel at the end of our tour – MY FAULT due to a lack of clarity in my instructions. Again, Emiel at Holland Bike Tours was super responsive and came up with a great solution with no hassles for me. I ended the tour even more impressed with Holland Bike Tours, their friendly responsive team, and the high level of service they provide. We were super happy with our trip and I would HIGHLY recommend them. As a post-scrip, we are dining tonight in Copenhagen with a couple from Seattle who we met underway while they were on their own trip with Holland Bike Tours.
